# Raspberry Pi3B & movw-space

##### 2016-10-05 23:03:00 +0000, 1 year and 10 months ago

So I bought a RPi3B last week and I decided, since puush.me, was becoming really laggy, and I had several HDD’s lying around I’d make a file hosting/storage website; I didn’t really want to spend a long time learning a new language, since I’ve never dealt with dynamic languages like PHP or node.js before, so I looked around and found NodePomf, I forked it and made my edits, it only took me a few hours over 2 days to get it running / customized to my likings, I think I have a little site congruency going since all assets (background/fonts/CSS) are pulled from the MTP section of this site.

Anyway enough blabbing here it is: movw-space.cf

The setup is as follows below, I didn’t want to run a dedicated PSU, so I used a USB hub I had a lying around which provided 5V 1A to each port, which is just about enough for a HDD. I use a SATA-USB adapter, which gives me about 60mb/s since the USB2.0 on the RPi are the bottleneck, I put them in RAID0 so I have a backup (sorta) and 4x RW speed; which ideally would be about 240mb/s.
