If you look at the time difference between this post and the previous you’ll notice that there’s a two month gap, ‘And it’s live!’, pretty enthusiastic of me. I’ve probably spent maybe 2 hours in the last two months working on this site, in all honesty, it’s only now that I have a cold and a splitting headache I’ve had the time to do finish it- and even then, if you look at most of the other links- I have plenty of work to do.
Anyhow, I’ve cleaned up the code quite a bit and I’m pretty happy with the result, I found a way to do the posting thing I mentioned earlier, using Jekyll - the problem is that blogging sites use dynamic languages like PHP, and I’d have to learn some database thing, like MySQL, which I didn’t fancy at all. Jekyll allows a kind of static-y-dynamic content to be displayed with their Liquid engine that builds the site from source (from my repo) each time the page is loaded - but I’ve yet to implement it. As for now I’ll stick to editing index.html with my post and pushing it with git.Return?
