And it's live!

So this is a little site I’ve made
to kill boredom for fun,
and also to learn more about web development and such, I’m not really
interested in web development per se, but I just thought it’d be a good
introduction into how code works etc. Maybe in the future I’ll optimise this
site with PHP- but for now, I’m just going to keep it simple and attempt to
keep this site live on the actual internet, using my own, actual server.
This site was originally written without a framework, but I’ve now updated
it to use the Bootstrap 3 framework.
The source code for this site can be found on my GitHub page.
Ideally, I want this site to expand into something I can use to upload links to my work and display it in a centralised location, I’d also like to look into constructing some kind of back-end posting system, how I’m going to do that I’ve yet to discover. I’m also going to upload the entirety of my notes which I have written on electronics- specifically, Unit 1 & 2 of AQA AS Level electronics. I will also be uploading all of my linux guides.
The aim of the site is to keep it as minimalistic as possible, simple, but with subtle hints of complexity. Originally the idea came from the ‘White as Milk’ WordPress theme by Azeem Azeez, I tried to bodge it apart, but all the WordPress PHP code just confused me- so, I just looked at the theme and recreated it from eye.
I also feel a bit sad this is what I spend my new years doing, happy 2016.
