So I went on holiday to Austria a few days ago, and since I’m on my rest day I thought I’d write about it. My Mum, Sister and I have come, primarily, to go skiing (I snowboard), in one of the only places there is snow this time of year, the Hintertux Glacier. :snowflake:
Having been on the slopes for a few days already, I can’t say I’m really that much of a fan of piste skiing, too boring for my tastes, it’s all just icy slopes, no tree runs, or park even to mix it up. Sure there are a few jumps, but those are only from the natural form of the slope, and not intentionally set up. Maybe because I’m a snowboarder I don’t derive much pleasure from taking a lesuirely glide down groomer.
Oh yeah, and I also hit a skiier, poor guy, it was my fault but whatever, I’m trying not to dwell on it too much. The food here is pretty good too, plenty of brautwurst, is that a German thing? Probably. I took a few videos on my GoPro too, I’m hoping to compile them into a video of sorts. Should be neat.
Here are some photos I took at the top of the runs.
